Hi, I’m Jennifer Whaley.

I’m a clinical psychologist with focus areas in trauma recovery, anxiety disorders, and disordered eating. For the majority of my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with veterans on a wide range of life concerns. Over time my passion grew into focus areas of helping others with the long-standing impacts from trauma, stress, and anxiety. Often, trauma impacts how you view yourself, relationships, activities, and can lead to destructive habits.

I truly find meaning helping clients through the storms that life presents. I know the value of having a therapist that digs deep to find connections, encourages change, and isn’t afraid to ask the difficult questions.

  • My therapeutic style is warm, engaged, and collaborative. I create space for you to feel whatever is coming up and I help guide you through the heavy therapeutic lifting. Often our lives end up different from what we hoped or expected and I believe it’s important to grieve what has been lost or never found while working to change what we can. Our sessions will include identifying your values and what a life worth living means to you.

We will work together to create a therapy treatment plan that is personalized and incorporates research-based strategies. I believe therapeutic change occurs when you begin to feel more aware, connected, and secure during difficult emotions. This sets the foundation for behavior changes.

  • You will most likely find me spending time with my daughter and husband outside. I love being in nature. It settles my soul. My hobbies include hiking, tending to plants, and playing with my pup.
