Hi, I’m Jennifer Whaley.
I’m a clinical psychologist with focus areas in trauma recovery, anxiety disorders, and disordered eating. For the majority of my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with veterans on a wide range of life concerns. Over time my passion grew into focus areas of helping others with the long-standing impacts from trauma, stress, and anxiety. Often, trauma impacts how you view yourself, relationships, activities, and can lead to destructive habits.
I truly find meaning helping clients through the storms that life presents. I know the value of having a therapist that digs deep to find connections, encourages change, and isn’t afraid to ask the difficult questions.

My therapeutic style is warm, engaged, and collaborative. I create space for you to feel whatever is coming up and I help guide you through the heavy therapeutic lifting. Often our lives end up different from what we hoped or expected and I believe it’s important to grieve what has been lost or never found while working to change what we can. Our sessions will include identifying your values and what a life worth living means to you.
We will work together to create a therapy treatment plan that is personalized and incorporates research-based strategies. I believe therapeutic change occurs when you begin to feel more aware, connected, and secure during difficult emotions. This sets the foundation for behavior changes.

You will most likely find me spending time with my daughter and husband outside. I love being in nature. It settles my soul. My hobbies include hiking, tending to plants, and playing with my pup.
